Admitted Students

You’ve finished the application process and have been admitted into one of our graduate programs. Now it’s time to focus on what comes next. Find the essential resources for admitted students you need to get ready for your first day of your graduate studies.

Have questions about registering? The Office of the Registrar assists students with registration and enrollment questions and maintains confidential academic files and transcripts for all graduate programs.

International Students

Saint Mary’s College provides dedicated services, advising and programming for international students. International students apply through the same application as domestic students. Reach out to Director of Admissions Kelly Burns at kburns@saintmarys.edu to discuss your application and enrollment process as an international student.

Financial Aid

We at Saint Mary’s are dedicated to keeping the financial aid process as transparent and stress-free as possible. That’s why we offer locked tuition, ensuring you’ll know the exact cost of tuition and program fees before you start at Saint Mary’s — and that those costs will remain the same for the duration of your graduate studies.

The Office of Financial Aid works with students from all graduate programs to demystify paying for college and provide all the essential resources you need to graduate with as little financial stress as possible.

We also offer graduate assistantships that provide students with free housing and a stipend of $750 each Fall and Spring semester, in exchange for 10 hours of work each week during Fall and Spring semesters and five in the summer.

Daniel Kleiman, Assistant Director of Financial Aid, handles graduate student inquiries and can be reached at dkleiman@saintmarys.edu.

Housing

On-campus housing for graduate students is available in Regina Hall.

Fortunately, rental options for off-campus apartments and houses are plentiful — many within walking or biking distance — providing students with a convenient commute to campus for classes. The surrounding areas offer a vibrant social scene to explore as you complete your graduate studies.

Campus Dining

Students in undergraduate and graduate programs at Saint Mary’s have many options for on-campus dining, including the Noble Family Dining Hall and the 1844 Cafe located inside the Student Center, as well as Murphy’s Cafe, located inside our Angela Athletic & Wellness Complex.

There are also two commuter lounge/kitchen areas available. One is located next to Rice Commons, and the other is in the lower level of Le Mans Hall.

Support Services

Part of what makes Saint Mary’s such a vibrant campus for graduate studies is the number of support services we offer. From technological support to assistance with registration to health services, Saint Mary’s provides the essential resources students need to thrive in their graduate programs and beyond.

Campus Ministry

Many students in our graduate programs find it just as important to cultivate their spirituality as it is to cultivate their minds while at Saint Mary’s. The Campus Ministry Office offers numerous outreach programs and events for students of all faiths and traditions to enhance their graduate studies experience.

Campus safety

The safety of our students while on campus is one of our top priorities, and we want every student to feel safe while they complete their graduate studies. Campus Safety ensures the safety and well-being of all students.

In addition to emergency response, the department provides essential resources for safety — such as a safety escort service, help for stranded students, and information about transportation to and from campus.

ResNet

Whether you’re taking classes online or on campus, ResNet at Saint Mary’s College has all the essential resources you need to stay connected and secure. They’re always there when you need help with your computer, network access, using your online learning tools, security concerns, and even campus ID cards.

Health services

We are dedicated to providing essential resources and assistance to help you stay healthy while at Saint Mary’s. The Health and Counseling Center supports your health and wellness through healthcare services and referrals, confidential counseling services, and general health education.

Library

Students in our graduate programs have full access to the entirety of the Cushwa-Leighton Library and their academic services, as well as borrowing privileges at the tri-campus community libraries, including Notre Dame’s Hesburgh Library.

Research support

One of the most exciting aspects of graduate studies is the opportunity to perform your own cutting-edge research that can push your field into the future. Learn more about research support for graduate students at Saint Mary’s.

Student affairs

The Student Affairs Office at Saint Mary’s offers many student-run organizations, programs to develop leadership skills, and activities to complement your graduate studies.

Hear from our students

How can you not be drawn to a program where you’re not a number? You really are a student, your needs are met, you learn anything and everything under the sun. The diversity of the professors is really kind of what sold me — and then the compassion and empathy that I feel stems from the top down
