Why did you pursue this degree?
I decided to return to school to pursue my education to properly prepare for advancement in my profession and to obtain a higher knowledge to prepare for more autonomy and advancement in the nursing profession. We are in the times where healthcare is constantly changing and nursing needs to become more dynamic, so we can provide optimal care and move into leadership positions where we can care and treat our patients and be strong leaders in the nursing profession.

What has been the most rewarding part of program?
This program has provided the flexibility that I have needed to maintain a full time job, manage a family and go to school to advance my career, without sacrificing quality or intensity that some say you may get from the traditional on campus programs versus the online option. This program allows you to have the best of both worlds: the flexibility of online education combined with interactive on campus sessions, which provide balance.

What has been the most valuable part of your experience in the graduate program?
The online format with on campus immersions is perfect for my busy lifestyle. The one on one interaction from the faculty has been exceptional in this program. The feedback and the professors genuine interest in my success have proved to be a testament in this program.

Experience with the faculty:
The one on one interaction from the faculty has been exceptional in this program. The feedback and the professors genuine interest in my success have proved to be a testament in this program. They provide personal feedback on my coursework and are actively interested in how the coursework impacts our daily nursing interactions and activities.

What advice do you have for prospective students?
This program is intense, but if you set your mind to it, it is possible. You have the same intensity that you experience on campus with the flexibility of completing it mostly online. The professors reach out to you and are available for anything that you need.
